Policies, Rules & Waiver
Everything a Humanitarian Adventure participant agrees to when registering: pricing, cancellation and refund policy, the tour code of conduct, and the registration agreement and liability waiver.
Pricing
Humanitarian Adventure Fee
The Humanitarian Adventure fee is $2,885 and excludes airfare. Philippines (Cebu) · July 19–29, 2027 · Ages 15+. Origination books all group flights; airfare will be invoiced at the time of booking.
A $500 deposit secures your seat. The deposit is fully refundable until August 1 in the year prior to tour departure. After that date, the deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Your seat is secured by group bookings we pay for up front, so our refund schedule follows two payment deadlines.

I understand tour fees become 50% non-refundable after January 16 and 100% non-refundable after April 24 for the applicable tour year.
Waiting List
If you are notified by email that you are on a waiting list, your tour fee is 100% refundable until you are notified you have been accepted. Once accepted, the refund schedule above applies. The waiting list is available only until January 16 for the applicable tour year; after that, participants must either commit to a tour with availability or request a refund.
How to Cancel
All cancellation requests must be submitted by email to info@myorigination.com stating that the participant will no longer be attending the tour.
Dismissal & Circumstances Beyond Our Control
If a participant is dismissed for misconduct, transportation home is at their own expense and no refund is issued for missed portions of the tour. If the tour is delayed or prevented by causes beyond Origination's control - including fire, strike or labor stoppage, war or insurrection, pandemic, public disaster, flood, bus failure, acts of God, or the elements (hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes) - no refund of the deposit, tour fee, or other costs will be issued.
Code of Conduct
Tour Rules & Code of Conduct
Every participant on the Origination Humanitarian Adventure agrees to the following:
- Participate in all bus activities.
- Show respect to chaperones and leaders.
- Follow the buddy system at all times and never be alone.
- Respect hotels and their guests by obeying the curfew and noise rules set by Origination.
- No vandalism or theft. Either results in immediate departure home at your own expense, with no refund.
- Zero tolerance for alcohol, drugs, or substance abuse, including marijuana or misused prescription drugs. This results in immediate dismissal from the tour.
- Be punctual and return to the bus at the designated time.
- No pairing off romantically. No kissing, hand-holding, or back rubs.
- Dress modestly at all times; Sunday dress is expected on Sundays.
- Live up to the standards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
- Use electronic devices only at times designated by Origination.
- Come with a desire to learn from and feel the Holy Ghost. You do not need to be a scholar, and you do not need to be perfect - you just need to be willing.
Inappropriate behavior may result in dismissal from the tour. Transportation home will be at your own expense, and no refunds will be issued for any missed portions of the tour.

Liability Waiver
Registration Agreement & Liability Waiver
Required of all participants and parents/guardians as part of online registration.
Please read this waiver carefully. It includes a release of liability and a waiver of legal rights, and it limits your ability to sue certain parties. Do not agree unless you have read and understood it in its entirety. By agreeing, you acknowledge you have read and understood the text presented during registration, and you understand that events carry certain inherent dangers and risks - which may not be readily foreseeable - including personal injury, property damage, or death. Participation is subject to your agreement to this waiver.
Assumption of Risk & Release
All participants in the Origination Humanitarian Adventure (the "Tour") are required to assume all risks associated with participating by signing this release and waiver of liability.
The undersigned participant ("Participant"), on behalf of himself/herself and the Participant's personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and executors, hereby fully and forever releases, waives, discharges, and covenants not to sue Origination or any affiliate thereof, any sponsor or cosponsor, including their officers, directors, and employees, their subsidiaries and/or related companies or individuals related to the Tour, from all liability to the Participant and his/her personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and executors, for all losses or damages and any and all claims or demands therefor, on account of injury to the Participant or property or resulting in the death of the Participant, whether caused by the active or passive negligence of any of the releasees or otherwise, in connection with the Participant's participation in the Tour.
The Participant is fully aware of the risks and hazards inherent in participating in the Tour and elects to voluntarily participate, knowing the associated risks - which may include travel, service projects, adventure activities, and local transportation in the Philippines. The Participant assumes all risks of losses, damages, or injuries that may be sustained while participating in the Tour.
Media & Likeness Consent
The Participant gives and grants the right and consent to Origination to use, publish, and copyright his/her likeness, performance, voice, and identity, in still and/or motion-picture photography taken on the Tour, for any and all purposes - including, without limitation, trade, commercial, and editorial usage in any medium now known or later developed anywhere in the world - without compensation to the Participant.

Be advised: if registration occurs after April 25 for the applicable tour year, you may incur additional fees based on market price for lodging and ticketed events, as you will not be eligible for Origination group discounts.
Refund Terms
The Participant acknowledges that the initial $500 deposit is fully refundable until August 1 in the year prior to tour departure. After that date, the deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. All tour fees are 50% non-refundable and non-transferable after January 16, and 100% non-refundable and non-transferable after April 24 for the applicable tour year. Waiting-list fees are 100% refundable until notification of acceptance; the waiting list is available only until January 16 for the applicable tour year. All cancellation requests must be submitted by email to info@myorigination.com. In the event of misconduct, the Participant will be immediately dismissed and transportation home will be at their own expense.
Circumstances Beyond Our Control
If the Tour is delayed or prevented by reason of fire, threatened or actual strike, labor difficulty, work stoppage, insurrection, war, pandemic, public disaster, flood, unavoidable casualty, bus failure, acts of God, or the elements (including hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes), or other causes beyond the control of Origination, there shall be no refund of the deposit, tour fee, or any other costs to the Participant.
Medical Authorization
The Participant grants the agents of Origination access to all medical records and physicians as needed and authorizes medical treatment as needed. The Participant warrants that all statements made herein are true and correct and understands that the releasees have relied on them in allowing the Participant to participate in the Tour.
Registration Agreement
- Authority to register and/or act as agent. You represent and warrant to Origination that you have full legal authority to complete this registration on behalf of yourself and/or any party you are registering (the "Registered Parties"), including full authority to use the check(s), credit, or debit card charged. If you are registering a child under 18 or an incapacitated adult, you represent and warrant that you are the parent or legal guardian with legal authority to enter this agreement on their behalf, and the terms apply equally to all Registered Parties.
- Waiver. You understand that events may be held over public roads and facilities open to the public and upon which hazards are to be expected. Participation carries inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated, ranging from minor injuries to catastrophic injuries including death. In consideration of being permitted to participate, you and any Registered Party - and the heirs, personal representatives, or assigns of you or the Registered Party - hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Origination for any and all liability from any and all claims arising from participation in the event.
- Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold Origination harmless from and against any and all damages, costs, claims, or demands, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party arising from or relating to your participation in the Tour.
- Applicable law; consent to jurisdiction. Origination is controlled from its offices within the State of Utah, USA. By completing this registration, you and Origination agree that the laws of the State of Utah (without regard to conflict-of-laws principles) apply to all matters relating to this registration and Agreement and Waiver. You agree that exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute resides in the courts of the State of Utah, and you expressly consent to personal jurisdiction there in connection with any dispute involving Origination or its affiliates, subsidiaries, employees, contractors, officers, directors, telecommunication providers, and content providers.
- Severability. This Agreement and Waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by Utah law. If any provision is found unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision is severable and does not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.
By indicating your acceptance of this Agreement and Waiver, you affirm that you have read and understand it and fully understand its terms. You understand that you are giving up substantial rights, including the right to sue. You acknowledge that you are signing freely and voluntarily, and intend by your acceptance to make a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
