Origination was founded in 2011 by Greg Schwarz and Brandon Maughan. When you don't see them riding shotgun on the Origination bus, living out of their OGIO luggage with hundreds of youth in tow you'll find them at their Main Street office in Alpine, Utah where their real estate team operates; offering the ultimate 1-2 punch of agency and lending, a one stop shop for all your real estate needs!

Our careers have paved the way for us to run and operate Origination, our true passion! Building relationships and connecting with youth to help find their purpose and happiness in life through living the Gospel of Jesus Christ is what it's all about for us! We're grateful to so many who have sacrificed for this program to thrive, our team at work and most importantly our spouses at home, Bianca & Lindsay, who pick up the slack everyday in our absence during the summer months while we're on the road. Lastly to you, our Origination Family, which is not a term we throw around casually. The experiences we've shared with your kids over the years bond us forever and we genuinely love you for giving us that opportunity!
LDS Graduation Tour
Our LDS tour program is catered to graduating high school seniors. Getting out of the classroom to visit sacred sites of the restoration in addition to visiting sites that inspire remembrance of America’s founding is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Life changing experiences are had by hundreds of young people each year who not only learn more about the Gospel but are willing to share it along the way. After walking in these holy places, the Gospel will come alive in a way that enriches your testimony. Origination is a great way for young people to spiritually prepare to enter college or the mission field.
Origination charters new buses with professional drivers to allow time for our directors and staff to constantly be interacting with the kids. Every young man and woman is encouraged to read the Book of Mormon in its entirety on the trip, supplemented with the ‘Origination Curriculum’ that gets the group ready with inspired words from modern day Prophets related to each stop. We also make it a priority to teach you about your American Heritage as we visit Boston, Washington DC, and New York City. By walking the “Freedom Trail” in Boston and paying respects to those courageous U.S. military men and women buried in the Arlington Cemetery, you will grow a greater appreciation of the many sacrifices that have been made for us to enjoy the freedoms that we have today.
Humanitarian Adventure
It is just that. The first half of the trip we provide HUMANITARIAN aid while the other is spent exploring ADVENTURE tourism in some of the most picturesque pockets of the world. So many are willing to serve but it can be difficult to organize resources. We invite you to join us as we work to provide basic necessities to people living in poverty stricken areas of the world. Due to the intensity of our Graduation Tour Itinerary we've never been able to properly align service opportunities, a focal point of the Gospel. Needless to say, it's a dream realized to incorporate such a program under the umbrella of Origination. Our partnerships with local charities and organizations ensure productive and safe humanitarian aid. Combine this with a spiritual mindset, devotionals and plenty of culture has made Humanitarian Adventure a once in a lifetime experience for many!
